"Dawn Patrol" (Volume One) is the first publication in an epic sci-fi/fantasy graphic novel series. The series is the graphic novel adaptation of "Dawn Patrol" the full-length literary novel published in 2022.

Interior page illustrations are all drawn by hand using vintage mechanical pencils (and lots of erasers). This graphic novel adaptation of the "Dawn Patrol" the literary novel illustrates the high-tech, epic saga in a visual style that fuses traditional artistic elements of line, shape, form, value, and texture with the exciting narratives and visual composition of illustrated comics.

Nydegger, Julie-Ann: - "1st Place Winner of The Book Fest (Fall) 2024 - Fiction, Comics, Action & Adventure - Fiction, Comics, Sci-Fi & Fantasy - Artistic & Technical - Book Cover Illustration2024: 5-Star***** Review by Readers' FavoriteJulie-ann Nydegger is a self-taught artist whose work, in addition to comics and graphic novels, includes murals in paint, portraits in pencils, fractal art, and animation. In 2022, she published "Dawn Patrol," the literary novel. "Dawn Patrol: Volume One" the graphic novel is the same story illustrated and nearly verbatim. Julie-ann lives in Florida with three "rescue cats" of varying levels of tameness and special needs. When she is not at her actual drawing board, she enjoys keeping a small collection of grumpy antique vehicles road-worthy, including a vintage two-stroke racing motorcycle named "Astyrfel." Her current projects include "Dawn Patrol: Volume Two," continuing her fractal art, animations, and writing the prequel to the Dawn Patrol novel."
