Robert (Bob) DuBois is an aquatic ecologist with the Endangered Resources Bureau of the Wisconsin DNR. In his 30-plus years with WDNR he has given numerous talks, led many workshops and field outings, and taught several university classes about odonates. The identification, ecology, and distribution of damselflies and dragonflies are his passion. Bob has published dozens of scientific journal articles and notes and, in 2010, authored Dragonflies & Damselflies of the Rocky Mountains. He has chased after odonates from coast to coast in more than half of the 50 U.S. states. Bob and his wife, Linda, live in Superior, Wisconsin, where he is near to his favorite haunts in the Bois Brule River Valley.

Mike Reese was an educator in Wautoma, Wisconsin, for 29 years and has been interested in damselflies for many years. He runs a website on Wisconsin's butterflies, tiger beetles, and robber flies (wisconsinbutterflies.org). Mike has contributed his photos of insects to over a dozen field guides, including as the main photographer for Tiger Beetles of Minnesota, Wisconsin & Michigan. He is also very involved with the North American Butterfly Association. Mike has downsized in his retirement, moved to Two Rivers, Wisconsin, and has branched out from insects to also become the Director of Volunteers for the second Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas project.
