Dad's Stories - Hardcover

I don't know what these musings will mean to you, but I do know that they have been a Godsend to me. They have brought the days of my youth back. Days that are hard needed by a seventy eight year old man. Days, which indeed have been felt to have departed from me for all time, never to be seen again. Days which in all their happiness and sorrows have passed under the bridge as like the waters of the creek, never to be enjoyed again, but remembered in all their luster by those of us still not accepting their passing.

I have often wondered about how it would feel to be able to go back in time and not have to pay the fare, so to speak. I have often wondered what it would be like to bring back all those wonderful folks and see their smiling faces again. But who am I to begin tempting fate, again, as it were? Far be it from me to be playing with the Gods again, and come out on the short end of the stick once more.

Suffice it to say I'm satisfied with everything. I couldn't be happier about my family, my wife and eight lovely, wonderful kids and all my grand kids. Only through them have I found the happiness that is so expressly denied others in this life. Only through them has my happiness endured. I thank all of them so much and wish them all the good things in life that are here simply for the asking.
