American filmmakers Chris and Tony Sanders (Vicky Krieps, Tim Roth) opted for a work retreat to Fårö, the Swedish isle where Ingmar Bergman resided. As the trip revealed and exacerbated the fissures in their union, she found fodder for her stalled screenplay-and the film within a film follows two onetime lovers (Mia Wasikowska, Anders Danielsen Lie) as they're fatefully reunited at a wedding party.
