Much loved flagship star of the famous WWVA Wheeling Jamboree in West Virginia. 28 tracks spanning 1947-1960, all digitally remastered, few previously released on CD, some never released since the original 78 rpm singles. Features many of his most popular songs including "My Old Brown Coat", "The Man In The Moon", "Roses Are Blooming", "Little Box Of Pine" and "Fiddler Joe". Vocal versions of such classics as "Silver Bell", "Red Wing" and "Merry Maiden Polka", most commonly heard as instrumentals. You will also hear Doc's famous blind accordionist Marion Martin, the melodic voice of Doc's wife Chickie Williams and Doc's brother, singer and fiddler Cy Williams. Here are story songs, comedy songs, western songs, love songs and folk songs, several written by Doc himself.
