The Choral

By 1916, conscription had decimated the choral society in a small Yorkshire town, and the group's backers reluctantly opted to take on gay Germanophile Henry Guthrie (Ralph Fiennes) as new choirmaster. As Guthrie recruited teenagers and wounded soldiers as replacements and anglicized their repertoire, he'd quiet the doubters and give the war-weary locals a rallying point.
