It was in the late '90s that Canadian engineers Mike Lazaridis (Jay Baruchel) and Doug Fregin (Matt Johnson, who directed) finally pitched skeptical manufacturer Jim Balsillie (Glenn Howerton) on a cellphone with an onboard computer. The meteoric rise of BlackBerry, and it's hubris-marked fall as Apple ultimately drove the concern from a market it had created, is covered in this trenchant commerce dramedy.
