C.F. Hayes is a storyteller drawn to the strange, the haunted, and the half-forgotten corners of the American South. A Marine Corps veteran and longtime explorer of South Carolina's shadowy history, Hayes blends personal experience with eerie folklore to craft immersive tales of creeping dread. When he's not writing, he can be found wandering antique shops, chasing urban legends, or sipping strong coffee while researching places best left undisturbed.
He is the author of Cane Bay Zombies and is currently writing a novel about the town Bishopville with a new twist on the lizardman legend.
Aiken is his newest horror novel, inspired by a real visit to a small-town antique mall and the journal he found there.
Hayes lives in Summerville, South Carolina with his wife, two sons, and an ever-growing collection of strange stories waiting to be told.
