It is sometimes easy to get caught up in the mundane of this life. Sometimes, things happen just before something else happens and we cry out for a break. But what about the opposite? We feel lost in what's happening all around us, but we feel like we are not a part of it at all; we are just standing idle, waiting for our calling. There is a plan that is in the works, and our season of waiting is actually preparation for what we are being called to do. It's in the waiting that we learn to serve. We watch and wait and trust, knowing all along that we have a Creator who is guiding our steps into our purpose.

Russell, Jeremy: - My name is Jeremy Russell. I was raised in Oklahoma by loving parents who instilled the Word of God in my life. I was always in church during my upbringing, but it wasn't until one night of guard duty at Fort Benning, GA that I began to truly read the Bible for myself. In 2015, I was challenged to really begin to seek for myself what God was saying in His Word. I had never fully surrendered to Him and His will for my life before, and I found myself in a world of drugs that just about stole my sanity from me. God was always with me though, and even when it seemed like destruction was my inevitable future, poetry flowed nonstop from my mind. People were placed in my path that I never would have met otherwise. Although the circumstances of my life have changed and I have my sobriety, poetry still continues to flow. God has shown mercy on me, and with my new life, I take full advantage of still being here with my family and my sanity.
