A Concealed Pursuit: A Seven Cities Novel - Paperback

The change begins with a death, a disappearance, and a promise left unfulfilled, all in the span of one night. Elise Montason, ordinary and unsatisfied up until this night, begins a dangerous spiral into a world of secrets more vast than she could ever imagine when she decides to seek answers. Joined by four others, they uncover the lies of their heritage when a sinister and secretive force seeks to reap them for a power they didn't know they had. Dragged away to a hidden world - their ancestral homeland, apparently - these five strangers are forced by the laws of the Ancient Convention to take up a mantle that has been vacant for years. While attempting to adjust to their new lives and unravel the mystery of the circumstances that brought them there, they learn that the return of their lost bloodlines has sparked a new conflict, one that threatens not only their new homeland, but their very own lives.

Elise Montason, Gerald Rodum, Lalietha Ataliarma, Anton Hystar, and Darren Nosia face discoveries that leave the lives they knew in shambles. But this is only the beginning of their new worlds, as they become the center of the rivalry between Lumeria and Inseana, two empires with centuries of bitter struggle and secrets.
