This edition of Theory/Theatre is a highly engaging introduction to cultural theory as it relates to theatre and performance. Mark Fortier is a Professor in the School of Theatre, English and Creative Writing at the University of Guelph, Canada. He is co-editor of Adaptations of Shakespeare (Routledge 2000) and his research interests include Shakespeare, the intersections of law and literature, and looking at how theory interacts with theatre studies.
