Yvonne Barrett was a talented singer and dancer whose career began when she was just a child. Appearing on some of the most iconic programs of the fifties, sixties and seventies, Yvonne was for many years a household name. Her story is a trip through a unique era in entertainment and show business in Australia.
Author Damian Johnstone became aware of Yvonne as a teenager while listening to the radio and watching her on TV. Damian became a fan of the funny and gifted girl who graced Australian television screens for decades. He was inspired to write this book to commemorate the life of an Australian treasure, lost far too soon.
