She is also a past national board member for the American Diabetes Association and a past appointee to the National Institutes of Health Council of Public Representatives. Nicole is the Executive Director of Bringing Science Home in the College of Public Health at the University of South Florida. Through this multi-million dollar program Nicole oversees numerous research projects and national diabetes programs like Students With Diabetes and Diabetes Partners. Nicole has a Doctor of Public Health degree and holds Master's degrees in Journalism and Public Health.
