Silvas, Kate: - A native of Long Island, New York, Kate Silvas is a graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where she earned her BA in Communications and a MD in Urban Administration. Originally an aspiring journalist, Kate has spent the last two decades serving in a number of different roles in economic development and public administration in South Texas. An accomplished writer and speaker, Kate has served as a Christian missionary to Russia and Belarus, working with orphans in summer camps.
