Women's Wild Oats: Essays On The Re-Fixing Of Moral Standards - Paperback

Women's Wild Oats: Essays On The Re-Fixing Of Moral Standards is a collection of essays written by C. Gasquoine Hartley, first published in 1913. The book explores the societal and moral expectations placed on women during the early 20th century, particularly in regards to sexual behavior and relationships. Hartley argues that these expectations are often unfair and unrealistic, and that women should have the freedom to explore their own desires and live their lives on their own terms. The essays cover a range of topics, from the double standard of sexual morality to the importance of education and financial independence for women. Hartley also discusses the role of religion in shaping these expectations, and argues for a more progressive and inclusive approach to morality. Overall, Women's Wild Oats is a thought-provoking and insightful exploration of the challenges faced by women in the early 20th century, and a call for greater freedom and equality. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
