A simple farmer, one of the small folk from the land of Gen, is tasked with the deliverance of his village which has been imprisoned by a mysterious enchantment. Journeying to the southern lands, he is joined by a company of amiable TallOnes who recognize that the plight of his village presages dire consequences for them all. The tiny band's struggle to uncover the source of the enchantment leads them from being the hunters to the hunted and, ultimately, to an unexpected discovery linked to the fabled Crystal Mountain. Through difficulties and hardships, their quest is overseen by the One the Gen have always known as Evershone.
J. L. Putney is a retired Illustrator and Systems Analyst. He also taught English and Creative Wirting briefly. He and his wife, Susan, live in Woodstock, GA and have three children and five grandchildren.
