From 2008-2019, he sang with and orchestrated the experimental pop group Suavity's Mouthpiece, described as "truly a band that one needs to experience" by Pittsburgh Music Magazine. From 2020-2024, Trafford sang and played electric bass with the rock/post-punk group Sommelier, described as "one of the city's most eclectic bands" by Pittsburgh Music Tracker.
