When We Grieve --- My Testimony - Paperback

""Speaking your thoughts out loud is not something that comes natural to me. I clam up, my hands get sweaty, and anxiety kicks in real bad. This is where writing comes to play for me as a way to let loose those bottled up emotions that have been brewing inside me for years. I have a story to tell that may soon come in a written book but for now let's just listen through the words written in poetry. Some may glance and see a bunch of anger and depression, you're absolutely correct. I was skeptical of writing this book because I was afraid of how people would perceive it but then I realized there are over a trillion people in this world. What if half of them are going through what I've been through in life. Why not express my views and feelings in hopes it reaches someone who has endured the same trauma and helps them to see things differently. My poems are derived from being a single mother, to being molested, abused, and even losing two children due to gun violence the worst of them all. I'm sure a lot of you can relate and if not you definitely know of someone who can. This is what life is, this is living in your authentic self, this is not sugar coating a fantasy. Every poem was written with lots of pain, tears, and love. Again I have a story to tell and this is just the beginning.""
