When Grandmother Doesn't Remember Anymore - Paperback

This book was written as a short story about a grandparent that is not able to remember anymore. The hope is that it will provide a forum for discussion when families are faced with the challenges that usually accompany memory loss. The intended audience is anyone who has loved or cared for a person with dementia. It is short and illustrated with personal photos depicting real family events.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

As Doreen Watson Beard AKA Mama Dori watched her parents, children, grandchildren, and friends try to come to an understanding of what dementia means, it became apparent that more needs to be written on the experience of living with this condition. Early onset dementia is a process that affects the whole family. Her hope and prayer is that this book will open communication and provide increased understanding for families at this challenging time.
