Educational Rhyming Picture Book About Animal Groups
When Fur and Feather Get Together combines education, family bonding, and beautiful artwork in one engaging picture book. This rhyming story follows a father and child spending a lazy day together, discovering what different animal groups are called—from a blessing of unicorns to a pride of lions.
What Makes This Picture Book Special
This hardcover book teaches children the fascinating names for animal groups through an engaging rhyming narrative. Young readers will learn surprising vocabulary while enjoying quality story time with parents or teachers. The educational content is woven naturally into the father-child adventure, making learning feel like play.
Illustrator Kim Wyly brings the story to life with warm, whimsical animal paintings that capture the imagination. Her professional artwork, displayed in galleries including the Elliott Yeary Gallery in Aspen, features beautifully rendered foxes, owls, bears, sheep, raccoons, geese, fish, lions, whales, rhinos, monkeys, and unicorns frolicking across each page.
Perfect for Home and Classroom
The book works equally well for family reading time and classroom instruction. Parents will appreciate the bonding opportunity while teaching vocabulary. Educators can use it to introduce collective nouns and animal facts in an engaging format. The rhyming structure makes it ideal for read-aloud sessions and helps children develop phonological awareness.
