What Meets the Eye: A Daniel Leder Story - Paperback

Nothing is what it seems. No one is who they claim to be.

Interpol Agent Daniel Leder has gone rogue to track down the master assassin responsible for a deeply personal tragedy. The next target is a well-known environmental advocate and professor, but things get complicated when the professor's daughter narrowly survives a terrifying ride. Daniel meets Tess Knight, the woman responsible for the daring horse rescue, and learns that the ride was intentionally sabotaged. His suspicions about the enigmatic Tess and his obsessive hunt for the chameleon-like killer Nester lead him to Denver, Colorado, where his personal demons threaten to jeopardize the success of a conference that the professor plans to host.

Daniel must put aside his vendetta to save the professor's life, secure the safety of the conference, and finally put an end to the assassin Nester. In doing so, he will be betrayed by a friend, saved by his nemesis, and trust a brilliant woman with a dark past who will help him heal.
