Five decades in missions afforded opportunities to work with a wide variety of people in 40 countries. These people were from all walks of life. They included students, professors, emerging business leaders, teachers and government officials.

Through challenging experiences and many times great need we found that the common thread was an uncommon God. He delighted in giving us victories, especially when we saw no way forward.

Often, I was at wits end. Resources were depleted. I saw no way forward. Yet, God showed up and made a way. This book is a collection of stories describing how God has truly been the waymaker, promise keeper, miracle worker and light in the darkness for me. He wants to be the same for you.

Jim Tomasik was born in New Kensington, Pa and moved as a child with his family to Bridgeport, WV. He grew up to be a proud "Mountaineer".

After getting degrees in Animal Science and Agriculture at WVU he spent a year milking cows before he began his missionary endeavors. He also went on to get a Masters Degree in Theological Studies. His missionary career included 11 years in the campus ministry at Penn, Penn State and Ball State University, 5 years working behind the Iron Curtain, 9 years working with university professors in Indiana and Russia, 5 years working with emerging business leaders and 16 years with the International School Project, giving leadership to Ukraine and Taiwan. He also assisted in the development of national teacher movements in Guatemala, Hondorus, Grenada and Albania He has worked in 40 countries.
