Sandra Kharan was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Orangeburg, SC. She has that Brooklyn toughness mixed with that southern charm. She has been writing poetry and short stories from early age. Writing was her way to escape reality. She didn't really take it seriously until one of her high school English teachers placed her on the high school magazine because of an assignment she turned in. Sandra draw her inspiration from events from her own life, those close to her, and conditions that effect her community.
