Pruner, Eleanor: - Eleanor Pruner, born in 1931 during the Great Depression in New York City, grew up with the neighborhoods of Brooklyn as her playground. Always a creative, she started writing poetry as a child and now has well over 250 unpublished works. Wad Of Gum was written when she was just 11 years old after spying someone dropping something on the street as they walked by. Upon investigation, she discovered a wad of gum wrapped in paper-actually considered found treasure during the Depression! A treasure that, perhaps, should be shared! Her grandchildren have never received a straight answer to the question, Well, did you ACTUALLY chew the gum?!? Eleanor married and raised her 3 sons in Sarasota, Florida where she still writes today. She has 4 granddaughters, and 1 great grandson.Pruner, Miles: - Miles Pruner was born in Florida and is currently living in Alaska with his wife, Dana, and has two daughters, Dylan and Willa, as well as a son-in-law, Tyler and a grandson, Rowan. Miles has always enjoyed art and is a guitar player and songwriter. The poem, Wad of Gum, had been his favorite work by his mother since he was very young and he would recite the poem in front of his class at school. He has always wanted to help his Mom get the story published.
