Through the allegory of God and Satan unraveling threads of yarn, Flores unravels a deeply personal yet universally resonant story of having grown up in abusive environments and the tangled path towards untying oneself from oppressive systems - going from being chained to being loosed.
This collection is a must-read for those seeking a raw poetic exploration of the Self, an invitation to untangle your own threads and seek the freedom to BE.
Flores employs spiritual and cultural references through an unorthodox tale of resilience to tackle intergenerational trauma, mental health, and systemic inequality using biblical references not as dogma but as deep explorations of faith. By reclaiming the vulnerable personal journey of working out your salvation, Flores conveys to the audience that they too can reclaim their identity, their autonomy, and their God.
