Bill Schorr began his career as an editorial cartoonist for the Kansas City Star. He then spent several years with the Los Angeles Herald Examiner before returning again to the Star. He was staff editorial cartoonist at the New York Daily News from 1997 to 2001. Born in New York City, Schorr grew up in Albuquerque, NM, and Riverside, CA. Ralph Smith began his career as a staff artist at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune following graduation from the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. While on assignment, he interviewed Dik Browne (creator of Hägar the Horrible) and eventually became Dik's assistant on Hägar for six years. Ralph has produced two syndicated strips of his own, Captain Vincible and Through Thick and Thin, both of which also ran for six years. Happily, he has written for Bill's strip, The Grizzwells, since the late '90s, surpassing his six-year jinx. He still resides in Sarasota.
