Afterward he worked as a police officer then a detective for more than 22 years in a large, action-packed town in Texas. In the 90's he started a self-defense organization The Scientific Fighting Congress with the mission of teaching self-defense tactics and strategies to those in high-risk professions. Currently he teaches self-defense to military, police and high-risk professionals in more than 11 allied countries.
