Joseph G. Healey, M.M., a Maryknoll priest, has taught at colleges in Nairobi, Kenya. Author of Once Upon a Time in Africa and Small Christian Communities Today, he is a member of the St. Charles Lwange Small Christian Community in Dar es Salaam and the St Jude Thaddeus SCC in Musoma.

Donald F. Sybertz, M.M., is a Maryknoll missionary priest who has worked in Tanzania sincce 1955. He has studies, researched, and written about Sukuma cultura and traditions for many years, especially Sukuma proverbs, sayings, riddles, songs and stories and is a long-term advisor and animator of the Sukuma Research Committee headquartered in Bujora, Mwanza, Tanzania.
