Writing through the Top 40 pop songs on the chart of September 14, 2013, Brandon Brown's poems track the life of a song as it resounds through an organism. This organism bathes, reads, writes, likes, fights, loves, hates, and fucks; the soundtrack never stops.
Brandon Brown is the author of several books and chapbooks of poetry, notably Top 40/i> and Flowering Mall both from Roof Books and most recently The Four Seasons. In 2015, he won a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, and in 2018 was awarded the inaugural Toni Beauchamp Prize in Critical Art Writing. He is an editor at Krupskaya and occasionally publishes small press materials under the imprint OMG! He lives in El Cerrito, California.
