The edition reprinted is the 1949 London Edition translated by James Strachey. In this work Freud advanced his theory of sexuality, in particular its relation to childhood. The three essays are "The Sexual Aberrations", "Infantile Sexuality" and "The Transformation of Puberty." In its final version, the "Three Essays" also included the concepts of "penis envy", "castration anxiety", and the "Oedipus complex".
