Dubbed "The First Lady of Children's Music," Ella Jenkins has released over thirty albums on Smithsonian Folkways since her first recording, Call-and-Response: Rhythmic Group Singing, in 1957. Written for the International Year of the Child in 1979 and performed on the tiktiri (a double clarinet from India), this four-track-long instrumental recording is an album of playful tunes.
