He proposes a new system of defense and attack that he claims is more practical and efficient. The second work, Bref Instructions Vpo My Pradoxes of Defense, is a shorter and more concise version of the first. It provides a summary of Silver's ideas and techniques, making it a useful reference for students of swordsmanship. The book is written in an old-fashioned style, with archaic language and spelling. It includes illustrations of sword techniques and diagrams of footwork, making it a valuable resource for historians and practitioners of historical European martial arts.Overall, The Works of George Silver is a fascinating glimpse into the world of 16th-century swordsmanship, and a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of fencing or martial arts. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
