The Way I Remember It - Paperback

This is a book about everyday life. The people in the book are just your regular run of the mill family; at least they like to think so. You be the judge. Many people spend a lot of money for entertainment; in this case the family is the entertainment. All people make mistakes; that is what makes them human. All people are not necessarily able to laugh at their mistakes, but in this family they do and it is a good thing because they make plenty of mistakes. Though the family has endured hard times due to illness or loss and continues to do so, they are still able to enjoy life and to share this joy within the family unit, as well as within the small communities of Brookston and Culver, Minnesota. Even though, the author tends to be sarcastic about the life she lives in Brookston, there is no doubt that she loves her hometown and she has found a small piece of Heaven on Earth. The people mentioned in this book are all people who have touched the author's life in some way, mostly through humor and have helped make her into who she is today. All the stories told are the way the author remembers each event.
