This short story describes the experience of a young tree as it grows into adulthood trying to answer the question, "Why am I here?". Written for all audiences, this edition was illustrated by nine year-old Elise Kanter especially for children. It was written by a physician and practicing Buddhist for his father who was nearing the end of his life.
