In The Sun Will Shine Again, we follow Bruno's childhood under Nazi oppression, from his third birthday in Austria through his tenth in Belgium at the end of World War II. In those seven years, he and his twin brother experienced a lifetime of despair and hope. They were often alone and living in the shadows, but they had each other. It's 80 years later as Bruno tells his story to his granddaughter, Tess. His memories of war and genocide are direct and vivid. They come from a child's perspective, but with decades of reflection.

Goldstein Monsour, Cynthia: - Cynthia Goldstein Monsour studied political science at Barnard College, Columbia University focusing on refugees and human rights. During college, she also studied abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France not far from where her grandfather was interned during World War II. She continued on to law school to pursue her interests in conflict resolution and writing. She currently lives in New Jersey with her husband, daughter, and two cats. The inspiration for this book came one day while watching her father and then six-year-old daughter having fun playing a card game. Their connection made clear the responsibility of passing on her father's story of survival to her daughter and future generations.
