20-year-old London guitarist Brian Jones went about forming a blues cover band. As The Rolling Stones found meteoric success, his influence within the unit would wane as that of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards rose. In 1969, after years of rising tensions and his own drug-fueled excesses, he'd be dismissed from the group... and die of accidental drowning within a month.
