While visiting her friend Ingrid in Köln, Yoko finds herself thrust in the middle of a mystery when a young Japanese woman is attacked in the cathedral, and whispers a few words before passing out - notably 'Rheingold', the German name of a Wagner opera. Roger Leloup joined Hergé's studio in 1953, where he assisted Hergé in drawing Tintin's Adventures. He has also worked with Peyo, creator of the Smurfs. YokoTsuno debuted in Spirou magazine in 1970. Leloup was awarded the much-coveted Grand Prix de la Jeunesse Sci-Fi in 1990.
