Talia Troy is excited about the upcoming wedding of her friends, where she will be a bridesmaid and her boyfriend will be a groomsman. Three weeks before the big day, her boyfriend dumps her, and to make matters even worse, her ex will be bringing his new girlfriend to the wedding. And because there is no way in that very hot scorching place Talia is showing up alone, she desperately begins a search for a plus one.
Griffin Duffy can't believe what Talia Troy has asked him to do. Yes, they have worked together for six years, but during those six years, he can't remember ever having one civil conversation with her, and he refuses to be her plus one. Until he has an idea. If Talia can get him a date with the beautiful redhead who works on the top floor, he'll do it. The woman has already refused to go out with him, and he's convinced it's never going to happen.
Barri Naven lives on Cape Cod where she avoids the summer traffic by hiding at home with her trusty laptop, long-suffering husband, and all the chocolate she can find. Escaping from reality in a romance novel, the ultimate goal a happy ending, is her idea of a good read.
