His poem "An Account of a Visit from St. Nicholas, " first published anonymously in 1823, became known as the Christmas classic "The Night Before Christmas. " The story was written as a Christmas gift for his six children. Moore was a lifelong New Yorker and died in his summer home in Newport, Rhode Island."Price, Margaret Evans: - "Margaret Evans Price (1888 - 1973) was a toy manufacturer, artist, illustrator, and designer from New York.
