The young author tells her story with the intent to empower others who are going through something similar. Her positive attitude and "I can do anything" determination make her an incredible role model. While parts of this book are difficult to read this is a subject that needs to be discussed at length so the survivors of such abuse know they are not alone and that their experience does not make them who they are.

My goal in life is to inspire others to overcome obstacles that are put in their paths by telling my story.I realized the gravity of the challenges that I was faced with as a child that included physical, verbal and sexual abuse, my mom being forced to divorce my father at age five, finding out that my biological father had terminal cancer when I was nine, losing him at age ten. Then my grandmother on my mom's side being diagnosed with cancer three days after he passed and passing away nine months later. As well as bullying that included death threats and physical harm. It was then that I decided that I wanted to publish my first book now. Through the journey of this book, hopefully many more in the future and through various other forms of media I hope to inspire others. You can be the voice of change.
