Description
Details: Two CD collection of classic and rare recordings from the Texas Psych and Blues band featuring a young Billy Gibbons before he found success with ZZ Top. Back in the '60s, Moving Sidewalks opened and/or played with such legendary acts as the 13th Floor Elevators, the Doors, Fever Tree, Jimi Hendrix, Doug Sahm, and the Winter brothers, just to name a few. They were a fine combo who could cook with the best of the bands they shared a stage with.. It's pure, homegrown Texas Psychedelic Blues, specifically the genuine South Coast Sound of Galveston, and that muggy Baghdad on the Bayou, Houston Texas. The album Flash is pure 1960's garage Psychedelia, complete with sound effects. What makes this release special is there are rare studio and unreleased tracks by The Moving Sidewalks as well as previously unreleased tracks by the Coachmen, the group that evolved into The Moving Sidewalks.
