The Moving Hat

This book is written with the idea of repetition and learning in mind. It incorporates what a short 'a' sounds like into a fun story to help young beginning readers become familiar with what a short 'a' sounds like.The author received the inspiration for writing a book for beginning readers while, as a homeschooling mom, she was teaching her children to read. She noticed the value of consistency and repetition of sounds to cause understanding to come. She hopes to help other children come to that "lightbulb moment" in their reading experience that her children had by contributing books geared toward that end.
