The Monster in Plain Sight

Eight months have passed since Abi's abduction and death shook Bakersfield. Mr. Clarke's trial is finally beginning, Hunter and Em are enjoying their last summer before college, Maddi is preparing for her senior year, and Casey is dipping her toes into a summer Psychology course. The gang is finding their stride once again, and things seem to be getting back to normal until one of Casey's assignments sends them down a rabbit hole they could've never expected.

It started simple: the local cold case unit asked the class to help with an overflow of cases, but after interviewing old witnesses and piecing together new evidence, they find themselves in another perilous journey for the truth.
