As a children's writer, he has had over fifty stories, poems, and articles published in Highlights and other children's magazines. This is his first children's picture book-inspired by a visit to Romania to visit one of his daughters and her family.Mitchell, Kara: - Kara Mitchell received her BFA and BLA degrees at Oklahoma State University. Working in Art Education and Landscape design forged her illustration style into what it is today. Playful colors, graphic lines, and underlying humor guide Kara's ideas and images. Currently living in Oklahoma City with her two boys and husband, Mitchell is a freelance illustrator focusing on children's book illustration and illustrated graphics.
