Fr. Benedict Baur, O.S.B. (1877-1963), was a German Benedictine and professor of dogmatic theology and abbot of the Archabbey of Beuron. Dedicated to the liturgy and research ordered to deeper personal prayer, Fr. Baur was instrumental in founding the Vetus Latina Institute and stood as a vocal opponent of the Nazi regime. His numerous works include Frequent Confession and In Silence with God.
