The Life of a Musician: A Musician's Perspective

Lennox A. Ferguson studied percussion at the Jamaica School of Music and went on to study jazz at Nyack Christian College, majoring in piano. He also studied at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Arts in New York City, where he majored in jazz piano performance. He's been the music and arts director of various churches and projects, managing hundreds of people and touring the world. As a result of his experiences, he appreciates music in all forms, styles, and genres. He reveals what it's like to be a musician, answering questions such as: How can you enhance your chances of success? How do you navigate the twists, turns, and ups and downs of being a musician? How do musicians think and what do they talk about? The author also examines the role of music throughout history, including in biblical times when Lucifer was placed in charge of music. He observes that music has been around much longer than most people think. Whether you're a fan of music, pursuing a career in music or supporting someone who is, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for musicians with this book.
