Benvenuti, Deron R.: - I'm Deron Benvenuti, the proud grandson of Joseph "Joe" Benvenuti-and the author of his long-overdue memoir. I grew up captivated by my grandfather's stories of arriving in America with next to nothing, creating opportunity out of misfortune and becoming a proud symbol of immigrant success. Writing this book took me on a journey well beyond the nostalgia of family lore. It unveiled the prospect that anyone can achieve his level of success with grit, determination, and a belief that anything is possible in America. Writing "The Land of Milk and Honey" has been my way of preserving his lessons and sharing them with the world.
