A family card game (ages 8+) of skill and wonder for 2-4 players based on The Book of Birds by Jackie Morris and Robert Macfarlane.
This elegant and educational hand management game asks players to become conservationists and rescue the many birds on the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds endangered list by building card tableaus across 7 categories within 8 rounds.
Conservationists can add or discard cards from their hand using cards placed on the game board, but must remain within the limitations of the scenario cards and action dice that change with each new turn. Conservationists must also be aware of various threats (and threat cards) to bird life in each turn, which can also deduct points from their final total. The player with the highest point total at the end wins!
Players will immerse themselves in the extraordinary art of Jackie Morris and the textual magic of Robert Macfarlane, all brought together by Michael Rieneck, a leading European game designer with over 60 published games to his credit.
