leta iris, author of when summer fades to fall, reveals her own experience of girlhood within her second collection, the fruits of her bittersweet sadness, left to rot. this piece presses on the aching bruise within her melancholy and allows it to bleed deep colors of truth. this visceral collection explores the feminine bite, each diary-like entry a tribute to the inner child. the three components of the book, "MADNESS," "HUNGER," & "EARTH," feature a rawness that many fear to reveal. an ode to brokenness, a desire to be seen and devoured, and a spiritual calling to become one with nature. if sylvia plath sings to each aching fragment of your soul, this collection is yearning to cradle your younger self and caress your cosmic heart.
