Can two young rock musicians outwit the devil himself?
Struggling to survive on the steamy streets of Austin, bitter lead guitarist Mason Rivers and vocalist April Flowers both crave stardom. Their desperation leads them to a deal with Adriel, a powerful, smooth-talking demon in human disguise, and they find instant fame comes at a terrifying cost: their souls. Discovering Adriel's duplicity, the two make a run for it, seeking refuge with April's detective mother in Colorado. But the devil doesn't take betrayal lightly.
Can a doctor with a remarkable ability and a dauntless sheriff, both women, help these young musicians to save their immortal souls? Or will the devil take his due?
James Dobie published his first thriller/mystery novel in 2022, although by then he had already written six more. He has now finished drafts of all eight standalone sequels in his Wallowa Lake Thrillers series, only half of which have been published. The Fret Master, is James' fourth Wallowa Lake Thriller, a standalone sequel to the first three, The Wailing, The Wood Sprite, and Angel of Oregon.
A native Texan, James lives in Austin, where he creates gripping new psychological/paranormal novels at a fast pace and enjoys playing his guitar when he isn't writing. He stays busy scheming ever more dire ways to hurl his characters, at unexpected moments, into shocking danger. Many of his heroes are spirited, defiantly different females caught up in situations rife with danger.
Readers' reviews of James' novels are greatly appreciated and may be sent to his email, .
